Amy and Doug Halsey I am a retired board member and have been impressed with the Center's quality programs for grieving children since its establishment in 1999. We continue supporting the CBC because it is a unique, important and accessible resource for children and their families in our community. Dear Friends, Our family has been dedicated to the development of the Children’s Bereavement Center since its inception. I served on the original CBC Board of Directors. Meredith volunteered as a facilitator throughout High School; after college graduation she returned to the CBC to become a Lead Facilitator in their discussion groups. We recognize and appreciate the quality programs and unique services the CBC provides for our community. We hope you will join us once again and lend your support to The Children's Bereavement Center, the only center of its kind in the tri-county area. Since we helped launch the Center in 1999, it has grown to serve hundreds of grieving families a month. We thank you for your caring and generosity and for continuing to help these kids heal and renew their lives. Warmly, Amy
The year is coming to a close and you might be considering different tax strategies to give to your favorite charities. You may want to look into your stock portfolios for any highly appreciated stocks and donate them in kind. You may be able to avoid the taxes on the sale and may also get a nice charitable deduction as well. Please consult your Investment professional and your tax advisor to be sure this strategy is appropriate for your individual situation. |
