Hi everyone, As most of you know, my husband Ted and I have moved to North Carolina. Although I am physically miles away, my heart and spirit are still with the CBC. As Co-Founder, my dreams, goals and objectives of helping grieving children are still being addressed. Hundreds of kids and their families are being companioned and helped to heal after the loss of a loved one. The CBC, in its eleventh year, is strong and viable and continues to provide free peer support groups for over 300 kids and families each month. The peer support groups are the heart of the CBC and it is committed to providing these groups free of charge. The CBC’s funding comes mainly from friends and supporters within our community. Please consider a gift to the CBC to ensure that the kids and their families can continue to get the support that they need. Your support, gifts and love will live on through the children that are helped. I know mine has... Thank you in advance, Carol
The year is coming to a close and you might be considering different tax strategies to give to your favorite charities. You may want to look into your stock portfolios for any highly appreciated stocks and donate them in kind. You may be able to avoid the taxes on the sale and may also get a nice charitable deduction as well. Please consult your Investment professional and your tax advisor to be sure this strategy is appropriate for your individual situation. |
