I worked with Miami-Dade County Public Schools for 32 years, first as an elementary school teacher and then as an elementary school guidance counselor. This is the 11th year that I have been a peer group facilitator for the CBC. I presently work with Spanish-speaking adults at the CBC.

I am very proud of the work we do with the families at the CBC. I
have seen families go through sad losses, different kinds of losses, and,
through peer support, I've seen people become stronger and better able to
cope. There is a metamorphosis that takes place. The number of families has
grown so incredibly and shows a great need that we continuously attempt to
meet in the community.

The year is coming to a close and you might be considering different tax strategies to give to your favorite charities.
